1. What you're buying
“Roy's Christmas Lights Book” is a digital book in PDF format. After payment you get a download page, and you can download the file as many times as you need for your own devices. Nothing is shipped. There is no printed copy.
The price is US$37, charged once in US dollars. Your bank may show a small currency or foreign-transaction fee if it isn't a US account; that fee is set by your bank, not by us.
2. Your 30-day money-back guarantee
If you're not happy with the book for any reason, email roybellbook@gmail.com within 30 days of buying it. You'll get a full refund, no questions asked. You don't need to send anything back or explain yourself.
Refunds are processed within 2 business days of your email, back to the card you paid with. Banks usually take a further 5–10 business days to show the money in your account.
3. Using the book
The book is for your personal use. You're welcome to print it, and to print the printables as often as you like for your own home. Please don't resell it, share the file publicly, or post it online.
4. General information only
The book and this website give general information only. They are not a substitute for a licensed electrician. The book covers plug-in products only. It never asks you to open, rewire or change a light string, cord, outlet, panel or breaker, and anything beyond resetting a breaker or a GFCI outlet means calling a licensed electrician.
Always follow the instructions on your lights, cords, timers and ladders, and follow your local codes. Ladder and roof work carries real risk; the book explains when to hire it out, and you are responsible for deciding what you can do safely. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for damage or injury from how the information is used.
Nothing in these terms takes away any rights you have under consumer law where you live.
5. Payment
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never touch this website. The charge appears on your statement with “LIGHTS BOOK” in the description.
6. Privacy
- When you buy: Stripe collects your name, email and card details to process the payment. We keep your name, email, the date, which of Roy's videos sent you (if any) and whether you agreed to marketing emails, so we can send your book, handle refunds and answer questions.
- When you ask for the free Light Calculator: we keep your email address and send you the printable. If, and only if, you tick “Send me Roy's Christmas lights tips and offers,” we also send a couple of tips and offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list.
- Cookies: the site stores one small first-party note in your browser to remember which video you came from, plus whether you've seen an offer. No advertising trackers.
